Objective 2

Install, configure and test security hardware and software tools, with supporting documentation such as port scanners, vulnerability detection systems, intrusion detection systems, firewalls, system hardening, anti-virus tools, patch management, auditing and assessment.

Objective 2: About

Much of NTS201 was discussing how to efficiently install physical and digital IDS, firewalls, and system assessment tools.

Not only did we learn about deploying these devices we learned what devices to look for to fit the needs of each scenario. In these two documents is the research done on the devices themselves and actually deploying specific devices with the reasoning behind why it should deployed.

Objective 2: About

One of the main lessons within  NTS350 was about utilizing the tool kit that the operating system security onion offered and comparing them. Not only did we learn about the tools offered in Security onion we used other tools to inspect network traffic, by doing this we can see the importance of a secure connection and what devices were unsecure. In this Docx we can see the use of each network software and see how a insecure network looks, this can be used when a network has suspicious traffic to see is coming in and out from what device.
