Objective 3

Construct, implement and document a script or a program to automate a security-related process or other task such as installation, administration, management mapping, resources, logon scripts, patch management, updates, auditing, analysis and assessment.

Objective 3: About

In NTS370 we were tasked with creating a bash script on Linux that would serve a meaningful purpose. The script i created counted the amount of times an unsuccessful logon was attempted on a computer. The user can also print out the results to a text file if they so wish.

In NTW216 we used Windows server 2016 GPOs to automatically log each connection or attempt to a unrestricted part of the network, we also set it so each user would have a more secure password would have more complexity and expire every month. Overall the GPOs were configured to ensure each employee depending on their authorization was following the correct security standards that were set.

Using the skills learned at UAT i was able to create a program for my SIP project that automates a router vulnerability scanning script and presents the info to the user.
